In support of our future leaders, VHPA will start accepting submissions for this year's student scholarship essay.

This scholarship is only available to student members. To become a member, please create a profile on VHPA’s Wild Apricot site (vhpa.wildapricot.org) and activate your annual student membership for $25.

We thank Valerie Trang and Hannah Le for sponsoring the 2024 and 2025 essay scholarship. The winner of the essay contest will be announced at the 4th Annual Healthcare Career Fair on Saturday, April 14th.  The winning essay receives $1000!

While Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force in the healthcare industry, AI also raises complex ethical, social, and technological concerns. In your essay, critically explore the impact of AI on healthcare, focusing on both its potential benefits and the ethical dilemmas/potential risks.  Additionally, discuss the role of healthcare professionals in navigating these challenges and ensuring that AI is used responsibly in clinical settings.  

Please limit your response to one page (about 3,500 characters). Please do NOT use AI to generate this essay about AI.
